Black and White
In this photo I used contrast with the light source creating a lot of dark shadows. I'm happy with the way it came out, I like the way Luke's hair and face were highlighted and I think his lack of expression is perfect in black and white

This photo uses a lot of texture as well as repetition to make for an interesting photo. I wanted the plant to really fill the frame and I think the final result turned out well.

For this photo I wanted to use space to bring attention to the texture of the prickles. I think having a black background and grey colour scheme adds drama that the picture wouldn't have had in colour. This picture is simplified in a way that makes the final product clean and sharp (pun not intended).

For this picture I wanted to use more of a soft greyscale instead of harsh blacks and whites. I tried editing it to look similar to an old fashioned photograph and I am happy with the results. I like how the tree and house are a back and foreground to each other.

I really liked the harsh lighting the sun had this day and thought it would make for a good black and white photo. I think the bars add a sense of framing to the picture but I would have liked if they were more silhouetted to add more contrast. I also think the picture could be clearer but in my defense I took this picture without being able to see the screen, so all things considered it's pretty good.
