Minimalism

For this photo I wanted to use space and contrast with the different colours and by putting the silhouette of the building off to the side. By doing this I hoped to make the image more interesting to look at.

For this picture I wanted to use the lines of the fence to draw your eye throughout the different parts of the photo. I also wanted to use repetition with the square shapes to add more interest.

I wanted to use the texture of the snow to create a contrast from the hand so that both the hand and snow stand out individually.

This photo uses negative space to emphasize the lights. The lights are also emphasized because they are silhouetted.

This picture uses value with the different shades of grey along with balance by centering the lamp post in the middle of the picture.

This photo uses value as well as space to create an interesting and abstract image that draws your eye to the bottom of the picture.
