Triptychs

The name of this triptych is Dying Flowers. The idea behind this triptych was to create a somewhat moody yet delicate picture. I wanted to create interest with the light flowers against the dark background, dark both colour wise and also in the way it has prickle bushes and dying plants. I also wanted create a sense of framing by using the pictures as screenshots. I liked the way the black border looked with the white lines. When my phone was in dark mode you can also see a white border surrounding the perimeter of the photo, as a blog post this effect is lost. Overall though I am happy with my triptych and I do think it's successful. I think that having the flowers in different settings in each photo makes it interesting and I like the outcome.

This triptych is called Tea Party. I wanted this picture to have a light and whimsical feel, sort of like a fairy tale. I used pastel colours and to achieve this as well as repetition with the floral design on the dishes and table cloth. I think this triptych is successful, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I think that all three photos combined make for a much more interesting photo, although idivisually they're still pretty photos.

My third triptych is called Nature Walk. For this photo I wanted to use the similar outer photos to create a sort of frame around the middle photo, as well as having a monochrome colour scheme. After I put everything together I felt like there was something missing and wanted to add something in the background to add more interest and a darker mood. I think my triptych is successful because I liked each photo separate but together it tells more of a story.
